Ana E. Rodríguez is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Molecular Genetics in OncoHematology group, at the Institute for Biomedical Research of Salamanca (IBSAL). She is a pharmacist and biochemist with a background of over 10 years of specialised research in haematological cancers, mainly genetics of chronic leukemias, in international laboratories and leading research institutions. She obtained her PhD in 2012 (Cum laude, Doctor Europeus), at the Cancer Research Center-University of Salamanca (Spain), under the supervision of Professor Dr Jesús M. Hernández. From 2013 to 2016 Ana joined the Department of Molecular and Clinical Pharmacology, in The Wolfson Centre for Personalised Medicine, led by Prof Sir Pirmohamed, in Liverpool (UK), an internationally recognized leader in Pharmacogenomics. In 2017 she rejoined the Molecular Genetics in OncoHematology group at IBSAL.

Her scientific career has been always linked up with the translation of research findings and evidence into clinical practice, working within multidisciplinary teams at clinical enviroments. Throughout her career, she has been fully involved in many national and international projects, presenting the results derived from her projects in many national and international conferences, both as poster and oral presentations.
