RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Chromatin structure and function (including alternative DNA structures) using mutations in Drosophila melanogaster that affect mitotic and male meiotic divisions. Chromosome structure including the molecular mechanisms of telomeric fusions and the genetic and molecular characterization of mutations causing chromosome breakage. Y chromosome-associated heterochromatin (both D. melanogaster and H. sapiens). Study of the human urogenital tract, its diseases and its development.
