Clinics and Pathology

Disease Myeloid malignancies
Epidemiology Two cases available, a 62 year-old male patient with refractory anaemia with excess of blasts (RAEB), and a patient with a treatment related myelodysplastic syndrome (t-MDS) evolving towards acute myeloid leukaemia (AML).
Prognosis The patient with RAEB died 1 month after diagnosis.

Cytogenetics

Additional anomalies The patient with RAEB also had a del(7q) and a del(20q).

Note The genes involved in this chromosome rearrangement are unknown.
