Definition
Tumors that typically arise in soft tissue are being identified with increasing frequency in the genitourinary system, and this is aided by molecular tools. Some lesions that are most relevant to the urinary tract, and can be difficult to diagnose, include Ewing sarcoma of the urinary tract particularly in the kidney, 1 and inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors in the urinary bladder.2,3 Genetic confirmations remain essential for exclusion or confirmation when benign lesions and sarcomas are identified resembling those typically found in soft tissues. Therefore, more comprehensive details will be available in the WHO 2020 Soft Tissue and Bone Tumours
