Definition

Metastases in the genitourinary system are malignant neoplasms that do not originate from these organs but are instead involved secondarily by direct spread from adjacent structures or through hematogenous seeding. The microscopic appearance, immunoprofiles, and genetic changes are like the primary tumors.
