Definition

Ovarian-type tumors of the collecting ducts and the rete testis affect mostly paratesticular tissues/structures, but may rarely occur in the testis proper. They show morphologic and immunophenotypic features akin to Mullerian counterparts. Borderline serous tumors represent the most common subtype. A subset of these serous malignant lesions show a recurrent hotspot BRA p.V600E variant. 1-3 and rarely cases with KRAS mutations with hotspot at codon 61 and 12 have also been reported. 4 A single case of clear cell adenocarcinoma has shown multiple regional and chromosomal arm-level copy number changes. 5 No specific genetic findings were identified so far in the other specific lesions in this subgroup.
