Definition

Mesenchymal neoplasms of salivary gland origin are very rare, and the majority are benign, arise in the major salivary glands, and sarcoma are rare. 1 They show histopathological features no different from their soft tissue counterparts, and genetic confirmations remain essential for exclusion or confirmation when sarcomas are identified resembling those typically found in soft tissues. See more details in the WHO 2020 Soft tissue and Bone Tumors   Sialolipoma is a rare histological variant of lipoma, with a female preponderance, affecting the minor and major salivary glands, and without any genetic markers so far reported. 2
